Iron Ridge Park

Iron Ridge Park is located 15km east of Childers and 23km west of Woodgate Beach on Goodwood Road. It is in the Bundaberg Region of the Wide Bay area in Queensland.

About Iron Ridge Park

If you are looking for somewhere to park your caravan, campervan, bus, fifth wheeler or motor home where you have room to put up your awning, stretch out a bit and have a little camp fire, then Iron Ridge Park may be what you are looking for. It is a small bush camp style tourist park that is close to great beaches, tourist attractions, national parks and areas of historical interest. Their aim is to provide simple and clean facilities and a place where you can rest and restore. The region has a mild climate coupled with moderate rainfall.

Most sites at Iron Ridge Park are ‘drive through’ and are longer and wider than usual and, as a result, can cater for big machines and towing combinations. All sites are suitable for right or left hand vans and all driveways are gravel in order to stop the mud during wet periods.

Designed to fit into the bush atmosphere, the amenities building is clad with locally sourced hardwood and built in the style of an old cane cutters building. It provides hot showers together with clean toilets that meet modern disability requirements. Out the back there is a coin operated washing machine in addition to a dryer and two large washing lines.

The Old Shed has comfortable picnic tables and a sink to rinse dishes. Near the Old Shed is a herb garden with rosemary, sage, allherb, chillis, tarragon, lemongrass and the like.

Heavy iron firepots are available at each campsite. You are welcome to use these as long as there are no fire bans current at the time. You are welcome to use your own gas or wood fired portable BBQs.

There is good mobile phone service and television reception here.
Well behaved pets are welcome at this campsite subject to some conditions. These include keeping them restrained and cleaning up after them. Above all, please be responsible.
